The Darebin Energy Upgrades Program offers competitive pricing and support to access government rebates for the Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries reverse cycle heating and cooling systems. 


Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) & Mitsubishi Electric 

These split systems are energy efficient, quiet, and known for their quality and reliability. Refer to the table below for the products available, size and pricing. 

Other sizes, including multi-split systems, are available. While every household is unique, the fact sheet, ‘Choosing the right size reverse cycle air conditioner provides guidance to help choose a heating and cooling system for your home.

All prices in the table include GST. Systems are supplied and installed by All Electric Homes.

Please note: base price for standard installation of a split system air conditioner (reverse cycle) starts from $2,200. The final cost of your installation will be provided in a free, no obligation quote. The final cost depends on your specific circumstances, such as any additional pipework or cabling, concrete or double brick walls, switchboard upgrades, second storey installations, decommissioning of existing heating and/or cooling system.

* Darebin base price: This price does not include the Victorian Energy Upgrades discount. You may be eligible for a discount through the Victorian Energy Upgrades program if you are having a gas or inefficient electric heater or air conditioner decommissioned or replaced by the supplier. Discounts can range from $350 – $2,500 depending on the heater or air conditioner you are replacing or decommissioning. 

** Darebin rebate price: Darebin City Council offers the following rebates to eligible residents who have products installed through the Energy Upgrades program:

  • $700 rebate for a split system air conditioner (maximum of two per home)

*** Darebin gas disconnection rebate: Darebin City Council offers a gas disconnection rebate of $220 for Darebin residents who choose to replace their last gas appliance (cook top, hot water or heating/cooling system) through the Energy Upgrades program and disconnect from gas.

  • $220 rebate when heating/cooling system is your last remaining gas appliance

Note: this rebate is available to any Darebin resident (no eligibility criteria) but is limited to the first 30 households who take up this offer.

Warranties

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries air conditioners come with a 5-year product warranty and 5-year installation warranty.
